Overview: We are seeking an experienced Relief Chief Steward(ess) to oversee the interior team during a guest-free period on a 70m+ private/charter yacht. With the vessel undergoing a demanding phase, experience in refit or new build projects is highly desirable. The role will focus on maintaining interior standards, managing crew needs, and assisting with refit-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Interior Oversight & Organisation:
- Ensure the interior remains clean, organised and well-maintained despite ongoing work.
- Implement deep cleaning schedules and oversee any required interior refurbishments.
- Coordinate with contractors and shipyard personnel as needed.
Crew Support & Operations:
- Manage interior crew schedules, rotas and daily duties.
- Maintain crew mess and communal areas to a high standard.
- Organise provisioning and inventory for crew-related supplies.
Refit Coordination & Administration:
- Assist with unpacking, storage organisation and interior setup if required.
- Work closely with the project manager and heads of departments to facilitate the refit process.
- Document inventory, orders and any necessary purchasing for the interior.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chief Steward(ess) on 60m+ vessels.
- Experience with refit or new build projects is highly advantageous
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a structured, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and ability to liaise with shipyard teams and contractors.
- STCW, ENG1, Food Hygiene Level 2, Valid Schengen visa (if applicable)
