We are looking for a Deck/Engineer to join a busy 40m+ commercial yacht. This is initially a temporary position through to the end of the season (October), however there is a strong possibility for this to become permanent for the right individual.
The vessel runs a fast-paced programme with frequent guest operations, particularly focused on watersports and tender driving. The ideal candidate will be a confident tender driver, able to handle a 12m chase boat with ease. While this is primarily a deck role, candidates with engineering tickets and hands-on technical skills will be highly regarded to assist in the engine room when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender driving, including regular operation of a 12m chase boat
- Assisting with watersports setup and guest activities
- Deck maintenance and exterior upkeep to the highest standard
- Supporting engineering department when required
- Contributing to a positive, professional, and close-knit crew environment
Requirements:
- Valid STCW & ENG1
- Previous deck and engineering experience on yachts of similar size
- Strong tender driving skills (essential)
- Engineering qualifications or hands-on technical knowledge preferred
- Proactive, adaptable and a strong team player
- Availability through to end of October, with potential for long-term commitment
