Reiya Group is seeking an experienced Captain to join a 50m+ Private Yacht based in Italy and cruising the Mediterranean.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong and capable leader to take command of a well-run yacht used exclusively by the owner and their family. We are seeking a Captain with solid technical understanding, excellent owner-management skills and a flexible, hands-on approach to operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the vessel, crew leadership and delivering a seamless experience for the owner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assume full command of the vessel, ensuring safe navigation and operations at all times
• Oversee all technical, operational and financial aspects of the yacht
• Lead, manage and motivate an international crew of 11
• Maintain exceptional standards of safety, compliance and seamanship
• Plan itineraries and oversee passage planning throughout the Mediterranean
• Manage budgets, reporting and financial oversight in coordination with the owner
• Ensure compliance with MLC and flag state regulations
• Liaise directly with the owner and family, maintaining a professional and discreet service
• Oversee maintenance planning and shipyard periods
• Foster a positive, professional and high-performing onboard culture
Requirements:
• Master 3000GT
• Proven experience in rank on similar sized vessels
• Strong technical knowledge and engineering awareness
• Excellent leadership and crew management skills
• Professional, adaptable and solution-oriented approach
Package:
• Salary: €15,000 per month
• Trial period: 1 month
• Leave: 45 days including bank holidays
• MLC-compliant contract
• Start date: Mid March
