Reiya Group is seeking an experienced Captain to join a 30m+ private motor yacht based in the Mediterranean operating a single-season program.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and hands-on Captain looking to take command of a well-maintained private yacht with involved owners who value reliability, professionalism, and strong communication. The role would suit an experienced leader with a proven background on similar-sized private motor yachts, excellent owner management skills, and a proactive approach to all aspects of yacht operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of the yacht, crew leadership, owner liaison, and ensuring the highest standards of maintenance, safety, and service are consistently delivered throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the yacht at all times
- Lead, manage, and motivate the onboard crew to maintain a professional and positive working environment
- Maintain excellent communication and relationships with the owners
- Ensure all yacht operations are conducted in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards
- Manage passage planning, navigation, and overall vessel safety
- Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure the yacht is maintained to the highest standard
- Manage budgets, inventories, and operational expenditures as required
- Coordinate seasonal cruising plans and logistical arrangements
- Ensure exceptional standards of guest experience and service are delivered onboard
- Uphold a professional, proactive, and hands-on approach across all aspects of yacht management
Requirements:
- Master 500GT in hand
- Fluent in German
- Previous experience as Captain on a similar-sized motor yacht
- Strong leadership and crew management skills
- Excellent owner and guest communication abilities
- Hands-on and detail-oriented approach to yacht operations
- Strong knowledge of safety, compliance and yacht management procedures
- Professional, reliable and highly organised
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing operational requirements
Package:
- Salary: €7,000 per month
- Excellent bonus scheme in place
- 50 days paid leave per year
