Reiya Group is seeking a seasonal Deckhand / Chase Boat Captain to join a 50m+ private support vessel.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hands-on deck professional looking to gain valuable driving experience while taking responsibility for the operation and presentation of a high-performance chase boat. The role would suit someone with strong tender driving skills, a proactive attitude and a willingness to support the wider yacht operation as required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the Tender while assisting with deck operations and guest activities throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and manage the 45ft chase boat during guest transfers and daily operations
- Maintain the chase boat to a high standard, ensuring it is always clean, prepared and guest-ready
- Assist with guest activities, watersports and tender operations
- Carry out routine checks and preventative maintenance onboard the tender
- Support deck operations onboard the mothership when required
- Assist with docking, anchoring and mooring procedures
- Ensure all safety procedures and operational standards are adhered to
- Maintain excellent communication with the Captain and wider crew
- Uphold a professional and positive attitude at all times
Requirements:
- Yachtmaster in hand
- Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Deckhand
- Previous tender driving experience is essential
- Strong seamanship and boat handling skills
- Motivated, proactive and safety-conscious approach
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Available to join as soon as possible
