Reiya Group is seeking an experienced and accomplished Chef to join a private household team located in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is a varied and rewarding role within a refined, fast-paced environment where professionalism, discretion and attention to detail are essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing healthy, high-quality daily meals for the Principal and guests, as well as delivering exceptional catering for formal and large-scale events. Collaboration with event planning staff is key to ensuring menus align seamlessly with the style and requirements of each occasion. The role offers the opportunity to work in a private kitchen with panoramic views of the Øresund.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily meals for the Principal and guests
- Plan and execute menus, balancing classic and creative cuisine
- Conduct daily grocery shopping and manage kitchen provisions
- Maintain impeccable kitchen standards, including cleaning, waste, and recycling
- Oversee the kitchen garden and report maintenance issues
- Cater for events, including hors d’oeuvres for up to 300 guests and 3–5 course meals for up to 24 guests
- Demonstrate knowledge of cocktail preparation
- Deliver events within agreed budgets
- Work independently day-to-day and collaboratively during events
Schedule:
- Average 40 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday, 12:00–20:00
- Flexibility required, including evenings and occasional weekends
- Time off provided when the Principal and family are travelling
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef, ideally within fine dining or high-end hospitality
- Strong kitchen management and organisational skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Excellent communication skills
- Must reside in Denmark and hold valid work and residency permits
